Donald Trump may not have had as impressive an operation on the ground as Hillary Clinton - but since June a very sophisticated data analysis operation had been underway.

This involved a British data science firm called Cambridge Analytica. On my podcast this week, we speak to one young British data scientist from that firm about the techniques used. David Wilkinson, who has spent six months in San Antonio, Texas where the operation was based, tells us that they were able to generate very granular data to help the campaign see where to direct its fire.

"It's not just about what demographic you are or where you're based - it's about what kind of things you're interested in and what kind of things you buy," he says.

One intriguing insight from his data - when the FBI reopened its investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails, it gave undecided voters "an excuse" to choose Donald Trump.

Bump!

I am surprised that this has not had more coverage (it is a bit turgid but should the popular press not lift out chunk size bites?)

The Spies Who Hijacked America

As a doctoral candidate at Cambridge working under "FBI Informant" Stefan Halper, I had a front-row seat for Russiagate

Steven P. Schrage, PhD
Aug 9

Global scandals now labeled Russiagate, Spygate, and what President Trump calls “Obamagate” shook the political world, but hit me closer to home. I’m the reason the so-called FBI “spy” at the center of Spygate, Stefan Halper, met Carter Page, the alleged “Russian Asset” in Russiagate’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

On May 19, 2018, this realization blindsided me in London as I was about to fly out for my wedding. The New York Times, NBC News and other sources had outed my PhD supervisor, Stefan Halper, as a spy known to the UK’s MI6 intelligence service as “The Walrus.”

It didn’t seem real. Could a former professor I once trusted as a mentor have betrayed his word, profession, and country to start these disasters? I had moved to England to pursue an academic career and leave DC’s politics behind, only to have my PhD supervisor throw me back into the most outrageous political firestorms I could imagine. Just my luck. Then an even worse question began nagging at me. Did I unintentionally light the match that started it all?

As I started to piece together what happened over the next few months, I realized something. The stories that The New York Times, Washington Post, and others were pushing didn’t add up. Many seemed planted to cover up or advance the agendas of several individuals whose tentacles secretly ran through these scandals, and who each had longstanding ties to intelligence services like the FBI, CIA, and MI6. I call these individuals the Cambridge Four. .............>

It appears the democrats are laying the groundwork to contest the results of the next election.

Trump, in his usual fashion, arranged to get democrats and media to admit their mail-in ballot scheme is easily corrupted when he got up and told people to 'vote twice', once via mail and again at the voting booth.

The leftists also don't seem to realize that if they succeed in undermining the validity of the election process, it can cut both ways.  Trump can use that to contest the election, too.  It would then be taken to the supreme court.  The supreme court having a significant number of its members appointed by Trump and savaged by democrats during the process.

It's weird to me what the left wing has become.  These are mistakes you might expect from middle school kids or even elementary school kids.  The piece in the Atlantic is a good example of this lapse of reason.  Nobody not running on pure emotion is going to believe trump slandered the troops... an assertion based only on 'annonymous sources'.  The alleged quotes are nothing like trumps speech patterns but are exactly like the charactures the left rountinely posits and appears to believe to be true.

November is coming quickly.  If you live in a democrat controlled city, you might want to go on holiday... or stock up on durable goods. There's going to be more rioting if trump wins.

And if trump loses and the right wing becomes convinced the democrats cheated... I don't know how they will react.  I would suggest that if they choose to riot... they're going to show the leftwing what real rioting looks like.

I'm not sure how much the polls can be trusted. Created, staffed and interpreted by generally left leaning people, I suspect a replay of the last polling debacle; Biden by a landslide, Biden on track for a win, Biden... whut? Granted, clinton won the popular vote but since then we've had 4 years of pointless and empty slandering, investigating, harrassing, and now riots, looting and murder all organized, encouraged, abetted and applauded by democrats. How well is that going to sit?
